The club is a great place for those comfortable with mixed media to work on their own projects while also having me available to answer questions or provide guidance on new techniques. We have a fantastic time and learn a lot from each other. I bring various mediums, including paint, stencils, paste, collage materials, and more. Please bring a journal of your choice, a Kraft Mat, Collage Medium or Matt Medium, scissors, paint brushes, and any other materials you’d like to use. The store also sells journals, collage medium, and Kraft Mats.

In this class, you’ll create five cards of varying sizes and featuring different images. First, we’ll learn a fun and easy mixed media background using inks and stamps. The images are whimsical characters from Art by Marlene. I’ll bring color-copied images, so you don’t need to color them yourself. We’ll use Tim Holtz’s whimsy Tree Die. Please bring a kraft mat, a blending tool with extra foam (we sell blender tools if you don’t have one), scissors, glue of your choice, and if you have pop dots, bring those as well.

In this class you will learn stamp prep, the best techniques to use on photopolymer and rubber stamps.
