Designing projects, teaching class, and making the complicated seem easy is the chosen avenue to reach and convert as many as are willing. If that is not fun enough, I also host retreats, day scraps and birthday parties (no barmitzvahs yet)!

My first daughter-in-love introduced me to scrap booking 10yrs ago. I love all aspects of scrapping: pages, cards, Heritage, crafts, canvas etc. and use all available mediums including sewing. My past craft history included a store where I taught oil painting classes. Today I make scrapbooks for others and teach classes in and around Corsicana. When I was a little girl I would spend hours looking through my Granny’s photo albums. I loved learning about my family, seeing the pictures and listening to Granny tell me the stories. It wasn’t long before I started gathering pictures and memorabilia and gluing them in albums.

Chasing the four men in my life around with my camera is a way of life. It is so important to me that I keep these memories because some day a sweet little girl will be sitting on my couch looking through portraits of our family and asking me to tell her stories about her daddy when he was little.

I started keeping a daily journal in second grade, and along the way I added scraps from my adventures. 20 years later, when I was pregnant with my daughter, I decided I needed an uber-girly album for my journaling and scraps. That's when I discovered all of the products available to scrappers. I was hooked after my first pack of patterned paper! Memory keeping is a way of life for me, and I love showing other people how they can capture the essence of their memories with photos and paper.

I have been scrapping for the last 12 years... starting with a small card table in my living room to now a room over flowing with supplies and projects waiting to be done. My favorite thing to do is 12x12 layouts... I like simple and can't seem to complete a layout without inking something on the page. I LOVE sketches and keep them all in a beautiful pink binder that is close by when I am scrapping... it will usually provide any inspiration that may be lacking.

I have been married to my best friend, Kris, for 13 years. We have 4 children ages 23, 19, 17 and 12. Kris also has an older son who is married and they have 3 children. I am never at a loss for something to scrap! I have been a stay at home mom since my youngest was born and help do the billing for our printing company. My latest endeavor is making domino and bottle cap jewelery.

I have been an avid scrapbooker for over 10 years. I loved it so much that when given an opportunity to start a retail business in something I enjoyed, I chose Scrapbooking. I ran a very successful scrapbook business for over three years. My style of scrapbooking is one of clean lines. My favorite scrapbooking subject is my granddaughter Natalie. Natalie is very well known in this area since my layouts of her have been on display in my store and now here at the Crafty Scrapper.

Although a recent addict to the world of scrapping, I have always been involved in crafting. From making Barbie furniture as a child to refinishing furniture as an adult, I have been using rejected items (trash) in new ways. I came into scrapbooking through the back door, using the papers and supplies for other types of projects. Although my background is more in home decor, I enjoy scrapping pictures of my family. I am still on the lookout for discarded objects to use in my designs, finding it fun to make a treasure out of them.
