Hi there! It’s Erica, and today I’m sharing a mixed media project.
I had the pleasure of playing with some of the new Tim Holtz products, which can all be found at The Crafty Scrapper. Here is one of the projects, which started out as a plain burlap canvas.
I used a Tim Holtz “Floral” Stencil to apply modeling paste to the canvas. Once the paste was dry, I colored it using Distress Markers. Before the ink dried, I used a baby wipe to blend the color. This helped to soften the hue, but also gives a watercolor effect.
Now that my background was done, I could start embellishing. I used one of the new Paper Dolls as the happy couple. I tinted the bride’s roses to match the flowers on the canvas. I also gave her a veil of white tulle.
A Quote Chip, Transparent Tile, Chit Chat sticker, and tinted Bouquet round out the collage.
