Design Team Assemblage Clock Challenge #4 Annette

I went in a total spring direction with “Spring has Sprung”. When I think of sprung gears I definitely see them as rusty, old and a little bent so I knew I needed to dirty up this bright shiny clock. I used acrylic paints in several colors and then topped that with Distress Ink all over. I decorated the inside of the clock with some of the metal gears I treated the same as the clock as well as green moss, birds and nests, and some hand quilled flowers to represent the new growth of spring. I love mixing old and new.

I also decorated the outside of the clock with some of the gears as if they sprung out from the inside. I mounted the clock to thick chipboard that I covered in more moss. I added a white washed picket fence as a border for the garden in the back and then decorated all around with hand made paper flowers. I finished the look with a rock path through the garden for the sweet little bunny to hop.
