I decided to celebrate spring showers and the love of flowers. I started out with a finnabair technique using graphic paste to get the texture and adding flowers and some pebbles with heavy body gel before I painted the clock with Dina Wakley paint night. I then used art alchemy waxes to color my flowers and highlighting the clock in places. The board was colored with distress sprays until I got the color I liked. I then made puddles with glossy accents (which I laid out very thick). The mini grass was from Michael’s fairy section and I thought it added great textured inside and outside the clock. The flowers on the board are Tim’s ideology paper bouquet which I sprayed with different distress sprays. The paper flowers were cut out of Tim’s thinlets funky flowers #3 and wildflowers. I used distress oxide inks to color them. The background of the clock is also distress oxides blended together and sprayed for a water effect. I sprayed distress resist spray on the glass of the clock to make it look like rain had hit it. The umbrella man is a Tim holtz stamp that I embossed gold. The umbrella is Wendy Vecchi’s leaf green and forget me not embossing powder with her polka dot stamp. I then ran my quote through the printer on cardstock, cut it out with Tim Holtz’s tattered banners and inked with distress oxides. The cloud was cotton batting.
