Hi everyone, Carolyn here, late as usual!
I started with a 9×12 burlap canvas panel and a really old doily I had. I collaged it on and then using texture paste and a couple of stencils I added a saying and some tiny hearts to the frame.
I am in LOVE with Tim Holtz new large stem die and the wallflower stems. I used distress oxides to color them and splattered water on them. Then I arranged them like they were in a vase. The vase is another stencil from Donny Downy and texture paste.
For the background of the canvas I used linen and pink paint from Finnabair and did a wash. Then I applied vintage gold wax to highlight the texture from the doily and stencil words. The frame I used ground espresso (my favorite) to bring out the stenciled hearts and give a vintage look. I used distress pens to color the brides bouquet. I added charms in the corner of the frame, love my charms!
And finally my vignette box. I covered it with the worn wallpaper from Ideao-logy and painted some die cut hearts for the background. I painted the little girl with alcohol inks, she is walking her little dog Coco. Then I added a arrow inked with gold alcohol mixative to the top and one of the vignette frames.
I hope you enjoy! Remember ALL the challenges are at the shop and the supplies to make most of them. Some of us did add a few one of a kind vintage things.
The next few days will be devoted to the customers that entered the challenge with us. We will reveal the names and winners on Valentines Day!
We LOVE our customers!
