and I am unanimous in this! I spent an hour today at a place looking at Cricut carts. I called Stacie to see which ones she had. I felt great about my choice. I waited in line to get Sam's fabric for his costume. I grabbed some glue and then waited 30 more minutes to check out. When I got to the counter, the girl was telling her friend, "I'm waiting for them to send someone up here so I can leave." She then asked me, "Is this your plastic card?" She was referring to the card you have to bring to the front for the CC. I said, "It said to bring it to you." "Oh you have one of those cutter things?" "Yes I do."

She goes over and looks down where they keep them for a second and then comes back and says, "We don't have that."

I explained that surely they must. There were over six cards hanging up. Is there a way to check the inventory? She said, "Let me go ask someone who knows."

She walked over to another lady who told her, "Just tell her we are temporarily out of stock at the moment."

That made me hot! I said they needed to take the cards down. She said well that one shouldn't have been put back out. I told her there were at least 6 hanging up. I said, "After an hour searching and a total hour waiting. To get a cart. I have to leave the line and wait again not knowing if the one I pick out will even be in stock. I don't think that is right." She just smiled.

I was then asked, "Well what are you going to do?" I said I wanted my fabric and glue.

Then my glue rings up wrong. I told her it should be 2.99. She said, "One of them is 2.99." I said both of them should be. She started hmmming and hawing...and did I mention she kept messing with her apron and giving her friend looks through out all of this? Finally I had enough and told her just to forget the whole thing. I walked out after 2hrs and 15 mins. with nothing. Clay was just about pissed.

So I went to another store for fabric and glue. They didn't have one of the glues I wanted....but I am going to try this other one I saw. This store had cart. but not the one I wanted.

That is my saga. I'm tired now.
UGH - how very very terrible!!!! THAT IS WHY WE LOVE THE SERVICE AT TCS!!! Smile Sorry, sorry, sorry. Pull out some Graphic 45 and give yourself a hug. Smile
Yep that is true. I can't imagine anyone treating me like this. I was shocked! Am I just spoiled? Is this how everyone should be treated.
Brook, know it is a pain. And the yucky cs, after all my "chat-up" of the Cricut that Carolyn is doing special orders for 30% off MSRP. I know it is not as much as the discounts the Big Boxes are offering....but do you not think it is worth it on the frustration/time spent meter?
So just a reminder after your bad day.
We are spoiled, but customer service should be good everywhere. It is unfortunate that there are people working in some stores who really don't care about it. I mean, they could have at least apologized for the error or something. How hard is that! They should have had them in stock if cards were out, but even if it was wrong, it was them not the customer who had the problem. Stanley Marcus is rolling around in his grave -- he set the bar high.
Ridiculous Brook. I would have been hot too.
Well I am writing the store a letter. Clay says it's like getting mad at wal-mart, but I don't care. I was so excited that I had this store not too far from me...but I won't go there again.
It is SOOOOOOOO hard to find decent customer service these days. I was at a department store recently and there were several people ahead of me in line and the person behind the cash register greeted each customer, but when I got to her...nothing. So then she rings up my purchase and proceeds to ask the girl next to her..."how do you say $87.52 in Spanish" and the other moron says "I don't know, just point" and she totally pointed at the number on the display!!! I was in shock but that quickly turned to red hot anger. I took one finger, pushed the bag towards the clerk and said "You say $87.52 - (then I said it in Spanish) - and you can keep these items, I won't be shopping here again."

Had she taken a moment to ask "how are you today?" my response would have clued her in that I speak English.

But besides all of that (that one just really stands out), I always seem to get the disgruntled employee of the day.

le sigh...

I cannot believe that....It is outrageous! Did you write the store manager or anything?

I called - it was at Ann Taylor Loft. I still have a few choice words for them. hahahaha

Can't fit into anything there but I was buying gifts for people.
