Questions And Answers About The “Home For the Holidays” Contest
· What do I need to do to enter this contest? We want to see projects made from one (or more) of our three 3-D houses (Maya Road Townhouse, Bungalow or Villa). To enter, alter a house (or 2 or 3 or a whole village if you want) using one of our Maya Road houses. You can see each of the houses in their raw form here:
Townhouse
Bungalow
Villa
The only requirement is to alter one of the houses (and the included album) using a Home for the Holidays theme! It is not necessary to use a certain amount of other Maya Road products.
· What is the timing for entering my house? We will be taking entries from the publication of this newsletter until 11:59pm on November 10th, 2008 (Central Time).
· Where can I purchase one of these houses? Please, please, please support your favorite LSS or online store by asking them about these Maya Road houses. We have plenty of them in stock and can get them shipped out surprisingly quickly! If that doesn’t work, remember you can order them directly from our website here. A network of LSS and online stores will be filling any orders placed on our site.
· Can anyone enter this contest? As long as you are not a member of the Maya Road design team or work for Maya Road, you are free to enter. Yes, international entries are welcome too!
· Can I submit a house that has been published before or posted online? You can submit any Maya Road house that you have altered; however, you must retain the rights for the item(s) entered. If you win, we expect you to transfer those rights to Maya Road for future publications.
· What can I win in this contest? Maya Road will be offering over $500 in prizes (to be given to 4 lucky and talented winners). The prizes will be divided up as follows:
Grand Prize winner (1 winner) - $250 (US) in Maya Road products
Runner Up (1 winner) - $150 (US) in Maya Road products
Finalists (3 winners) - $50 each (US) in Maya Road products
· Who will be judging and what are you all looking for when judging this contest? What is expected of me if I win? The Maya Road Design Team including the Owners will be judging this contest to pick the winners (Grand Prize, First Prize and Second Prize).
We are looking for innovative projects that knock our socks off in terms of interpretation of “Home for the Holidays”. It doesn’t matter how you define “Holidays” but how you execute your ideas for a Home for the Holidays. We will be looking at the quality of work and for projects that inspire others. We give extra points for creativity!
If you are one of the winners, we will be asking you to give us some simple step by step instructions to share with our consumers in an upcoming newsletter. You must provide us with print quality photos for sharing with our consumers. You will also agree to have your name, city, state published in a future newsletter.
· How do I submit my entry for a house(s) I have altered? Only email entries are accepted at this time. Please limit your entry to a total of 5 photographs, maximum of 2 MB of photo size for all the photographs (that means all 5 photos have to come in under 2 MB). When taking pictures of your entry, please include pictures of the album. The more we see of your creation, the easier it will be to judge.You can email your entry to MRHomeContest@mayaroad.com. Please include the following information:

Any special techniques you used on your entry

I don't think I could come up with any original enough. I did sit and stare at the houses the other day. lol
