Hey there. After mobilizing my MASH (Mobile Ambitious Scrapping Hobbyist) unit last week to TCS for the all day crop, I'm looking for any tips.

Do you have a great way to decide what you're doing before you get there? Do you plan ahead? Take only certain things?

My DH said, "Wow you're taking a lot of stuff" but it's because I didn't have any idea what I needed so I wanted to take it ALL. Smile

Also, Brook - how are you transporting those scraponizers? I have 47 now (jk Smile ) and would like to be able to pack all of them into one container for transporting and - more importantly - accessing while I'm there.

Can't wait to hear your tips - but hurry! I will pack tomorrow night for Friday as I'll go straight from work! Smile

Thanks, you crafty scrappers!
hi there! I am new to the boards and hopefully new to the area real soon. I make page kits and store them in those photo boxes you can get at hobby lobby for a few bucks. I made a template for an envie that fits both ways into this box so I have one with small envies and then a larger 12x12 one. Here is a photo crop box (click where it says 'crop box' btw this is my blog it is new so not much there right now). I place these along with whatever embellishments in this box.

I also have a cheat sheet that I use to sketch the layouts out and presort the photos. I will scan it and post a pic if you are interested, just let me know.

One thing I have learned is that I almost always over pack and end up not using most of what I would bring. This way I am focused and bring what I need. I pack my basic and or advanced tool kit and this box here is a photo of it

Hope this helps
No matter what I do I always bring toooooo much. I do try to plan out my projects thought..I pack them in those large ziplock bags and just leave them there until I get ready to work on them and if I dont get to it at a crop or retreat it is ready to go for the next one. I can never bring everything i would like or there wouldnt be room for me in the car. I figure I can always add stuff later to a page or a project when I get back home.

I have packed an embellisment tray with a little of almost everything that I have and I never unpack it..I only use it when I go to crops and retreats that way it is always ready when I am. I haven't started using my scraponizers yet so can't give you any advice on that. sorry. Hope the other stuff helps.

I love making sketches which are much better than my LOs BTW. I love the crate for the scraponizers. I think I am going to put my chipboard in them as well....then my paper can go in a bag and I can let my paper only be in the bag.
Hmmmm - well, who am I kidding? I would offer advice but I ALWAYS overpack or completely underpack. There is just never a medium for me. As far as projects though, I keep the paper, pictures, buttons, embellishments, etc for each project in a different storage box and they all tuck into rolling carts that sit under my craft table. So I just pull out the box or boxes that I plan to work on and most everything is already in them.
