Can somebody give a good explanation of the differences? thx
Pigment ink is fadeproof, waterproof and archival. It has been used in the library of congress for years as it has incredible stability over the long haul. You can write on a piece of paper with a pigment pen and write at the same time something with any other pen. Put them on the dashboard of your car and let them sit there in our TX weather for a while and before long you'll see for yourself the difference. As stable as pigment ink is, dye ink is on the opposite ends of the spectrum. It is usually water-based and does not have much stability over the long haul. Bottom line, one is archival and one is not. Hope this helps. Smile
ok. thanks. That helps a lot
You're welcome. Pinky
It is kind of the same thing with construction paper that the kids have at school and the fade proof stuff.
