Debbie Schuh Classes
Friday - May 17, 2013   May 17th and May 18th   see below

Debby Schuh has scheduled a Texas teaching tour this May, and is making our store one of her stops. We are so excited to have her come teach and even more excited about the special Texas Tea Towel Album she has designed for us Texans! Here's a little about her and the classes she will be teaching.

Sign-ups for her classes will start Monday April 1st. All classes have to be prepaid to reserve your spot.

If you sign up for all 3 you will receive $10 off.

Debby can't remember a time when she wasn't tucking her photos and all kinds of "stuff" into scrapbooks... she still has her scrapbook from when she was two years old! After teaching school for many years and working as a staff designer for Anna Griffin, Debby now shares her love of  memory-keeping and story-telling with students at stores and events around the world. Her class projects are
known for their clever techniques, design details, and meaningful themes. Debby says that she is most gratified when her students are inspired to fill their creations with their own stories and photos and treasures – to use the projects they've made!

In addition to a busy teaching and traveling schedule, Debby has had her designs published in many books and magazines through the years and is the author of the book Kids Scrapbooking... Easy as 1, 2, 3. Debby feels incredibly blessed to do what she loves – travel the world and meet wonderful people, do a little shopping along the way, and share her passion for preserving our stories and our treasures. She lives near Buffalo, New York, with her husband David. Their two married sons are living on opposite sides of the US now... one in California and the other in the Army, stationed in Virginia.

You can read more about Debby's classes and adventures on her blog at debbyschuh.typepad.com.

Little Me Journal
Class
$60
Saturday May 18th 9:30am~12:30pm

If you could go back in time and give advice to the little girl you once were, what would you tell her? What stories from your life would help her know that things were going to be all right in the end (and if it's not all right, then it's not the end – love that line from The Best
Marigold Hotel movie!) What advice would you give her? What insights could you share? This nostalgic little journal will be a special place to keep those thoughts and stories. Using a Tim Holtz Worn Book cover and ring binder with the gorgeous Trousseau Collection from 7gypsies, we'll make pages and pockets and even our own vintage-looking papers to fill our 4" x 7" journals. A photo of you as a little girl will be featured on the cover of your book and will remind you to appreciate the woman you have become. Of course, the album can be used for anything you'd like – It would make a lovely wedding album or any pretty pictures you'd like to use. It would also be a perfect gift for someone special!

tape adhesive, regular tape runner adhesive, Crop a Dile, Distress Ink – Vintage Photo, ink blending tool, non-stick craft mat, sanding tool, a special small button – about ½" or less - if you have one - to use on the front cover of the album, a picture of yourself as a child for the oval frame opening which is 1 ½" x 2 ½" (other pictures will be available to use), foam squares, Glossy Accents or glue dots, scallop scissors or border punch.

Memory Collector Configuration Book

We are all "collectors of memories" and "dreamers of dreams," aren't we? In this delightful class Debby will show you step by step

You can customize the arrangement of the boxes inside your case, personalize the trinkets you place in each section, and choose the papers that you will feature in the removable album we'll make for inside our case. We will even make a second darling little album out of windowed envelopes – it's so cute! Framed by a Shabby Chic Kind of Love ~ Anita Houston
Friday - May 31, 2013   6~9:30pm   $50

I love to visit a person's home and see that they combine their love of home décor with their love for the people who live there. In my opinion, a home should have photos of its occupants on most walls available, and nooks and shelves too. The love of the people inside is what makes the home feel warm and special no matter what it may look like aesthetically. That love is what draws others in and welcomes them, and when you can showcase those photos of loved ones in something beautiful that you made yourself, it just makes your home all the more inviting.  Even the tiniest of photos will make a big impact when placed in this beautiful Shabby Chic frame you create yourself.
