Sweet Cupcake Album ~ Annette Love

Birthdays are always a reason to celebrate and in honor of my Mom and my son, this September is a special birthday month. We will create an 8”x 8” Sweet Cupcake chipboard album from scratch using an altered pocket binding technique. We will be using the beautiful Echo Park Birthday Collection. There are lots of fun techniques, flips, folds, shakers and pockets to help you commemorate someone’s special day. Supplies needed: basic kit, paper trimmer, score tape, dimensional dots/tape, wet and dry adhesive, and your favorite ink if you like to ink edges.

Celebrate Fall Album ~ teacher Angela Medina

Join us in creating this mini album to celebrate all things Fall. You will create the album from "scratch" and there are lots of flips, flaps, folds and pockets. The paper collection we will be using is "Fall Break", by Carta Bella. The warm rich fall colors will get you in the mood for picking out the perfect pumpkin, having that first sip of pumpkin spice latte, gathering of the falling leaves and sweater weather. So dont hesitate to sign up, there will only be 11 spots/kits total.

Sweet Peony ~ teacher Michelle Hudson

In this card class, you will be working with products from the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Peony Collection, Camelia Carnation Collection, 3D Flower and Leaf Shaping Molds, vellum flowers, flower stamens, archival inks, distress inks, distress oxide inks, and glitter. During class, you will be creating two 6”x 6” cards one with vellum Sweet Peony flowers with stamens and two types of paper leaves and a Vellum Butterfly from the Butterfly Dreams Collection and one 6”x6” card with paper flowers with stamens from both the Sweet Peony and Camelia Carnation sets and along with two types of paper leaves and a Sentiment and a Butterfly from the Butterfly Dreams Collection along with die cuts from the Heartfelt Love Collection. The third card will be 4.25”x 5.5” with a multidimensional glitter butterfly from the Butterfly Dreams Collection along with die cuts from the Coffee Talk Collection. In addition to completing the three cards, you will also be learning to create a 6” x 6” envelope box for multidimensional cards. For the supplies needed for this class, please bring a paper trimmer, a pair of detail cutting scissors, a pencil with a good eraser, Art Institute Designer Dries Clear Glue or any other dries clear glue, Nuvo Crystal Glaze (3-D Crystal Lacquer or Ranger Glossy Accents - either will work as well but take much longer to dry). If you don’t want to wait to use a scoreboard or flower shaping tools and you own your own sets please bring them as I will only have two extra sets for the class to use. The extra tools needed are a Scoreboard with Envelope Template or a WeRMemory Keepers Envelope Punch Board and either one of the Heartfelt Creations Flower Shaping Tool Kits with foam molding mat or mouse pad.

Halloween Fun Extravaganza!

In this class we will be making four adorably wicked projects...just in time for Halloween! We will start with a charming necklace with iridescent purple beads and a Time Holtz Crypt Cameo! Then on to creating a cute “post it” pad with my new “I kissed a toad and I liked it” Halloween stamps. We will be using beautiful alcohol inks and the brand new Tim Holtz alcohol lifting Ink for the “Resting Witch Face” dimensional card. You will learn the spooky ghosting technique. The last card we create will be made with Distress Oxide Inks, Tim Holtz micro glaze and my adorable little Vintage troll. You will truly be inspired to create more magically wonderful projects using these techniques! I can’t wait to show you! We will have lots of door prizes!!! Plz bring basic kit, Supplies: Basic Kit, a good adhesive that will stick to non-porous surfaces like Tim Holtz Matt Collage Medium, Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (if you have them) Black Soot and Spiced Marmalade.

Encaustic Wax Workshop ~ teacher Anita Houston

Encaustic Wax and Mixed Media Collage go hand in hand. If you love farm animals, and if you have ever wanted to learn to encapsulate ephemera and embellishments in wax, then this is a class for you. You will learn so much while using the ancient art of Encaustic Wax. You will have your choice to make either a Cow, Pig, or Rooster, and you will go home with a beautiful 16x20 inch wood panel to display in your home. Ranger Alcohol Ink 411 Workshop ~ teacher Anita Houston

SOLD OUT know most of you have and use Ranger Alcohol Inks, but do you really know all the different ways that you can use them? You will learn every one of the techniques (if time allows) that I know, to use this staple product, from pouncing, dropping, swiping, swooshing, stenciling, blowing, painting, and stamping, on a variety of surfaces and substrates. Your mind will be on overload with all the different ways to use these, and some you might be refreshed on. You will go away with finished cards and tags, a few surprises, as well as with technique cards to reference for the future so you don't forget. Think of this workshop as an Alcohol Ink Bachelors Degree, even for the beginner. Students Will Need: An Apron, Paper Trimmer, Scor Tape ***Optional: Bring your Alcohol Inks for less sharing time.
